Welcome to the official development website of Whimsies & Wonders, a VR puzzle escape room game crafted by Cipher Chamber, an indie game studio dedicated to immersive and mysterious experiences.

In Whimsies & Wonders, you step into an old, enchanted toy shop where nothing is as it seems. Tasked with watching the store for the night, you soon realize the toys hold secrets, the shadows whisper, and the backroom door hides a mystery waiting to be uncovered. Will you solve the puzzles and escape before the clock strikes midnight?

Our Team

This VR escape room is being developed by Cipher Chamber, an indie game studio founded by a father and his two daughters (9 and 13 years old).

TikTok addict and pop culture guru. She makes sure Whimsies & Wonders isn’t just a great game but also has viral potential. With a sharp eye for what’s trending, she’s the link between the game and the fandom universe. Most likely the first to design a cosplay of the Toymaker.

Bob Embregts

Lead Designer & Puzzle Architect

Mastermind behind the visual style and brain-teasing puzzles. He ensures that everything looks stunning and that players truly feel immersed in the world of Whimsies & Wonders. Has final boss-level design skills but often receives “constructive” feedback from his team.

Flore Embregts

Chief Creative Chaos Officer

Head of the artistic department and creator of the wildest, weirdest, and most brilliant sketches. Whether on an iPad or with a paintbrush, Flore designs the most magical (and creepy) toy creatures. Expect bursts of color, strange little beings, and lots of paint in places it shouldn’t be.
